Commercial Sandwich Grillers - Single & Double Plate

A commercial sandwich griller is chosen on sandwiches per batch and on the plate style your menu needs. Both models listed here run on 220 V single phase with non-stick coated plates, so the decision is about throughput and counter space.

Single plate or double

The single plate unit takes two jumbo sandwiches at a time on 2.2 KW and occupies 425 x 370 mm of counter. It suits a cafe where toasted sandwiches sit alongside a wider menu, a canteen counter, or a kiosk where space is short.

The double jumbo plate unit takes four at a time on 4.5 KW in 656 x 370 mm. Twice the output for about 230 mm more counter is usually the better buy for anywhere that sees a lunchtime rush, because a griller running back to back through one hour is what decides whether the queue moves.

Grooved plates or flat

Grooved plates leave the char lines people associate with a panini and lift the bread slightly off the surface. Flat plates give full contact, which browns the whole face evenly and suits softer breads, burger buns and anything you want pressed rather than striped. Tell us which your menu needs before ordering, because the plate is what the machine is.

Everyday use

Non-stick coating is what keeps cheese and butter from welding to the plate, and it is also the part that wears. Scrape with a plastic tool, never with steel, and clean while the plate is warm rather than hot or cold. Treated that way the coating lasts; attacked with a knife it will not.

At 2.2 and 4.5 KW both units run from an ordinary single phase socket, which is why they work in food courts and rented units without any electrical work. Both stand 190 mm high, so they fit under a standard overhead shelf.
